Job description
eleQtron develops and operates full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. Quantum computing is a new computing paradigm rapidly approaching commercial viability. Our unique approach combines laser-cooled trapped ions with microwave control and tailored magnetic fields. Our next-generation computing machines under development will be able to find solutions to problems that are out of reach today, thus enabling new innovative products and services for a brighter future.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Quantum Software Architect, you will take the lead on compiler architecture, software optimisation, and HW/SW co-design. You will define the structure of our quantum software stack across both front-end and back-end compilers, ensure it scales with our architecture, and contribute to the broader technology roadmap. This is a key position for someone who has done this before and wants to help shape what quantum computing looks like in practice.
Design and specify the compiler front-end (quantum language), back-end (machine-specific), and cross-stack optimisation strategies
Lead performance analysis and scaling of quantum algorithms across architectural targets
Drive hardware-software co-design with our design teams
Ensure clean, testable, and scalable implementation standards within the quantum software team
Conduct technology scouting to identify relevant algorithmic and architectural trends
Maintain the software side of the quantum roadmap - balancing research, system fit, and implementation realities
Contribute to requirements engineering and design decisions across the stack (e.g. trap configurations, scaling thresholds)
Job requirements
